The thing that sets survivalcraft apart from minecraft is it's basis in real life. That's survivalcraft's niche if you will. I think that's what draws most of the survival raft users to the game versus minecraft and so I think most users would really appreciate the addition of the power of certain survival elements. For example, a campfire to ward off wild animals, cook food, and sleep under the stars in some cases as well.
In addition to that I would tentatively suggest a core body temperature that changes in different climates and could be controlled with fire, clothing, shade, and take a swim in water. This would only be a factor in harsh climates but it would still make the survival edge of the game more real and I think appealing to the survival raft community. Perhaps a simple setting before creating a world could offer this possibility.
Now that we have string, we should be able to fish!
Last major suggestion, I realize how hard this would be to create. but I really really think this would be worth while in the end. Streams and rivers. This could open the door for wetland biomes, and all the animals that would go along with that. Not to mention wetlands are good farming land. So again. RIVERS RIVERS RIVERS!!!
